CARTHAGE — Cathy L. (Fayette) Gill, 49, of 35802 State Route 3 in Herrings was pronounced dead at home on Monday, January 23, 2012. She was born on April 27, 1962 in Canandaigua to Louis and Linda Schermerhorn Gill.
She graduated from Carthage High School and also graduated from JCC with a certificate. She loved the outdoors and camping.
She is survived by a son, Walter "Wally" and his wife Holly Fayette, Carthage; three sisters, Brenda Morris, Watertown; Judy Strough, Pennsylvania; Jodi VanRiper, Horseheads and 6 grandchildren; Robert, Courtney, Tanner, DeWalt, Sawyer, and Elizabeth.
She is predeceased by her mother, Linda Gill.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 11:00am-1:00pm at The Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with the Reverend Wayne Arnold, officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery in Natural Bridge.
