Neil B. Anderson, 46, of Stanley, Idaho, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at his residence up the Yankee Fork in Stanley. He went to the "Big Guy," as Neil always called God.
Neil was born March 1, 1965, in Blackfoot.
On March 26, 1994, he married the love of his life and best friend, Nan Hansen, and to this union came three girls, Jessica Ann (James) Jones, Natasha C. (Brandyn) Amos and Savannah (Reuben) Penoyer. On Nov. 12, 1996, Neil and Nan were blessed with another daughter, Raychael Hannah Anderson. Neil always said that he must have done so well with the older three that the "Big Guy" gave him a bonus baby.
Neil loved his family and always made family life fun, whether it was fishing, hunting, camping or playing family games. Neil was always there for his family and loved when they came to him for anything.
He took great pride and joy in being general manager of the Mountain Village Resort in Stanley, and he enjoyed working right alongside his employees.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Nan Anderson; four daughters, Jessica (James) Jones, Natasha (Brandyn) Amos, Savannah (Reuben) Penoyer and Raychael Anderson; nine grandchildren, Tishona, Kryslyn, Elysha, Wyatt, Blaine, Jude, Kiyana, Chandra, Kayzhia and Kilynn; brothers, Andy (Linda) Anderson, Merlin (JoAnn) Anderson, Steve (Melonie) Anderson and George (Carla) Anderson; sisters, Kay (Kip) Higley and Yvonne (Dennis) Moore; his mother, Irene Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mont Anderson; two brothers, Thane and Ed; and one sister, Joan.
Neil will be greatly missed by all of us but always in our hearts. He will always be looking over us.
A memorial service will be held in the summer in Stanley. Arrangements are under the care of Challis Funeral Home, 121 Main St. in Challis.
