Philip Comardo Dies At 59
Philip M. Comardo, longtime shoe repairman in Bellaire, died June 19 at Sharpstown General Hospital after a weeks illness.
Mr. Comardo had operated the Bellaire Shoe Repair Shop, 5208 Bellaire Blvd., for the past 14 years. He was 59.
Born in Italy, he came to this country when he was one year old.
He had lived in Bellaire and area for some 35 years. He was a member of the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce.
Funeral services were held June 22 from Holy Ghost Church. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery with Earthman Southwest Funerals in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; son, Mark; two daughters, Mrs. Antonia C. Bailey and Mrs. Catherine Freeman; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Martino and Mrs. Annie Mancuso, and four grandchildren.
