"Allen Belzer, 61, a farmer of rural Meadville, died Wednesday at the Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the United Methodist Church. of Meadville with the Rev. Lawrence Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the Meadville Cemetery.

Mr. Belzer was born Nov. 6, 1914, in Linn County, son of Frank and Melissa Jennings Belzer. He married Anna Belle West on March 29, 1942. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Bobbie Joe (Judy) Holcer and Mrs. Charles (Helen Ann) Dennis, both of Meadville; three sons, Eugene West of Baytown, Texas, Tom Belzer of Meadville and Kenneth Belzer with the armed services in Madrid, Spain; 15 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Lottie Turner of California, Mrs. Ilene Bailey of Winigan, Mrs. Betty Beissler of Rivierside, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Almond of Brookfield; six brothers, Clyde Belzer of Purdin, Marlin Belzer of Browning, C. L. Belzer of Brookfield, Larry Belzer of Winigan, Harold Belzer of Florissant, and Jerry Belzer of Winigan." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, December 26, 1975
