Mr. Fred Stout, 71 years old, passed away Thursday night at nine o'clock at the home of his son, Irving D. Stout, of Friendship. Mr. Stout was born at Interlaken, N. Y., Feb. 27, 1861 and had lived in this vicinity all but the last few years which were spent in Florida.
Surviving are his wife, Minnie E. Stout, Florida; four sons, Irving of Friendship; LeRue of Portville; Stanley of Olean; Theodean of Myrtle, Pa., two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Speller,
Mrs. Elma Kemmerer of New York; one sister, Mrs. Cora Heald of Olean, twenty grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the home of his son, Irving D. Stout, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Dr. Houser, pastor of the Baptist church of Olean, officiated.

The pallbearers were William Barber, William Hornblower, Edward Eldridge, John Rowe, Frank Middaugh and D. D. Dempsey.
Relatives from out-of-town included Mrs. Minnie E. Stout, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Kemmerer, Eau Gallie, Fla., Mrs. Cora Heald, Mr. and Mrs. Harry R. Slawson, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Heald. Mrs. Leon D. Elliott, Olean; Mr. and Mrs. Floren Brown, Cuba.
