Uncle Othar was a very generous and kindhearted man. He was raised on the Vallance Family Farm in Plaska. When reaching manhood and marrying he moved to his own farm in the Little Field, Texas area and farmed for many years. He was married to the late Elise Eva Stanford and had two sons.
