"Granny", as she was affectionately called, was born December 7, 1921 in the Claussen Community of Florence, SC to the late Columbus and Janie Harley Abraham. She was educated in the public schools of Florence County. Granny worked as a seamstress at Pincus Brothers for many years.
At an early age, she was converted and joined Salem United Methodist Church. Granny joined Morris Brown A.M.E. Church, with her brother John L. Abraham in the early 1950's and remained a faithful member until her passing.
Granny moved to Brooklyn, NY with her daughter due to her failing health in 2001 and remained with her daughter, Peggy until a nursing home was required in October 2010 where she remained until her death.
Granny is survived by: her daughter, Alice "Peggy" Judge, Brooklyn, NY; her grandson, Jeffrey B. Judge, Detroit, MI; her grand-daughter, Alice "Tammi Thrower (Brian), Brooklyn, NY; three great-grand-children, Jeffrey D. Judge, Nia Symone Thrower and, Kai Anyse Thrower; two brothers, Edward (Evelyn) Abraham and Hector Abraham of Brooklyn, NY; three sisters-in-law, Alice Abraham, Mary Abraham of Philadelphia, PA and Susie Abraham of Florence, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
