EARLIEST SETTLER IS DEAD.
Henry Graves, Who Had Lived Continuously in Chicago Since 1831, Expires at His Homestead.
Henry Graves, who died early yesterday morning, was born in Norwich, N.Y., Aug. 9, 1821, the younger son of Dexter and Olive Kendall Graves. He came with his parents to Ashtabula, O., by water to Detroit, Mich., and overland by team, arriving here July 15, 1831. No resident of Chicago now living wads here then.
