FAITH KIMBELL BARTO RUDDELL October 29, 1913 - January 21, 2012 Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed on to her Eternal Home at the age of 98, on January 21 in Riverside, CA. She was one of eleven children born to Francis and Gertrude Kimbell on the family farm near Wakefield, NE. Faith was adored by her children, Jerry and Janice Barto of Anacortes, WA and Newport Beach, CA, Connie and Jim Taylor, Riverside, CA, Kathy Finnecy, Saratoga, CA and 7 step-children. She was affectionately known as Nana to grandsons Craig and Eric Barto, Jeff, Scott, Kevin and Shawn Taylor, Darren, Ryan and Brendon Finnecy and granddaughters Rochelle Rabago, Wendy Logan-Root and Heather Finnecy. She lovingly followed the lives of 23 great-grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. Faith is also survived by brothers Dale Kimbell of Alamo, CA, Virgil Kimbell of Hemet, CA and Earl Kimbell of Sioux City, IA and sisters Velma Luhr of Sioux City, IA and Alice Holcomb of Riverside, CA. Faith married her high school sweetheart, Charles Barto, in July, 1934, on the Kimbell family farm near Wakefield, NE. The family later moved to California and settled in Riverside in 1943, where Charles taught at Poly High School. Faith was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church, serving as Director of the nursery school and an active member of Wesleyan Service Guild and later United Methodist Women. Her memberships also included P.E.O. Chapter OH, AAUW and DAR. She graduated from California Baptist University and was a caring teacher for many years. Faith was widowed in 1955 and later married C.A. Ruddell in 1971. She will be remembered by many for her caring spirit towards family, friends and neighbors. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 30th at 11:30 AM at First United Methodist Church of Riverside, 4845 Brockton Ave. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to FUMCOR Education Scholarship Fund, The Salvation Army or Second Harvest Food Bank. The family would also like to thank the wonderful caregivers and Hospice personnel our mom had for the last three years.
