MCCAMEY Mary Ellen (Reed) Leach, age 64, of McCamey, passed from this life on Monday, January 23, 2012, at Midland Memorial Hospital. She was born in Texon, TX to the late James Earl Reed and Fannie Irene (Payne) Reed on July 24, 1947. She married C. B. "Rusty" Leach in McCamey on July 22, 1972. They enjoyed almost 26 years together before separated by his death in June of 1998. Although she was a fighter, she was ready to go Home.
Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. They were her world, especially her grandchildren. She was a creative person who loved arts and crafts, woodworking and sewing. She could also knit and crochet.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her daughters: Kimberly Leach of McCamey and LeAnn Lee and husband Kenneth of Odessa; two sons: Terry Leach and wife Dena of Ozona and James Leach and wife Cindy of Rankin; sister: Earlene Bazar of Graham; two brothers: Joe Reed of Alvin and Jackie Reed of Kermit; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, two brothers precede her in death: Jerry and Roy Lee Reed.
Graveside services will be at Resthaven Cemetery in McCamey at 10:00 AM Friday, January 27, 2012, Bro. Daniel Fleming officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd, Odessa, Texas. Condolences to the family may be sent online at acreswestfuneral.com.
