Gladys M. Ogg, 90-year-old Worland resident, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at the Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Gladys was born on Sept. 18, 1921 in Thermopolis, the daughter of Mahlon Franklin Becker and Margaret (Rinker) Becker Smith. The family owned a ranch on the Upper Owl Creek where she went to school at the Embar School. She later attended high school in Thermopolis.

She married Willard Gotfredson on March 30, 1938 in Casper and they had five children. Over the next several years, they made their home in Thermopolis, Ten Sleep and in Worland. They were divorced in 1967. Gladys worked hard raising her children, cleaning homes and cleaning rooms at the Town and Country Motel for over 20 years.

Gladys was an active member in the Eagles Auxiliary until her health kept her from activities although she remained a member. Gladys fought the ongoing battle of Parkinson's disease since diagnosed in 1980. She was blessed with a good sense of humor and determination through all of the trials and tribulations of life and disease. She loved reading in her spare time and going fishing with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mahlon and Margaret; her husband, Alex in 2004; step-father, E. Ross Smith; two granddaughters, Debra Gotfredson and Brenda Gotfredson; and one step-daughter, Patsy A. Kraft.
