his loving wife of 54 years, Matilda "Tillie" Wagoner Beckett;
sister, Eloise Beckett Hatfield;
sons, Marty (Lee Ann Grass) Beckett of Ona, WV Timothy (Shelli Doddridge) Beckett of Milton, WV and John (Lisa Lambert) Beckett of Ona, WV;
six grandchildren, Zachary Beckett, Heather Beckett Wallace, Trey Beckett, Tanner Beckett, Savannah Beckett and Sawyer Beckett;
two great-grandchildren, Hannah Wallace and Beckett Wallace;
nephews, nieces, loved ones and many, many friends.
Ira served in the United States Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Siboney, was a retired employee of Union Carbide after 30 years of service, and worked for Midwest Institute for nine years. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Ona and a member of Gideons International. He was a wonderful husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was always present at every sporting and academic event his grandchildren were involved in.
Funeral service at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, WV by Pastor Bill Davis and Pastor Don Weeks. Burial at Ridgelawn Memorial Park.
