Graveside services for Katherine Hicks (81) of Bryceville, Florida will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in Macedonia Cemetery, Baker County, Florida with pastor Bob Gallentine officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hicks was born in Baker County, Florida on March 5, 1930, daughter of the late James Eddie Rhoden and the former Nellie Ellen Garrett. She passed away on January 26, 2012 in Jacksonville, Florida following a brief illness.

She is survived by: two daughters, Sue (Frank) Everett and Linda (Jess) Vega; two sons, Scooter (Mary) Hicks and Joey (Shirley) Hicks; six grandchildren, Tim Everett, Donna Seemann, Chester (Darylann) Everett, Samantha (John) Bennett, Brett Hicks and Sarah Rushing; nine great grandchildren, Brandi, Falon, Sandy, April, Tyler, Gracie Katherine, Madison, Khloe and Chester; three great-great grandchildren, Georgia, Bubba and Dalilah; sister, Malinda (Harold) Wilson; brother-in-law, Herbert Earnstine; two sister-in-laws, Helen Thrift and Yvonne Hart; numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Robert Hicks.
