He was born February 5, 1940 in Delaware to William and Irene (Cochenhour) Andrews.
He was a lifelong Delaware resident, served a 4 year stint in the Navy, and was a journeyman mechanic for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. of Marysville.
He was a Delaware AmVets and Moose member, a NASCAR fan and a connoisseur of beers. Spending time with his family and backyard barbecuing was a favorite pastime.
He is survived by his sons Dale "Rocky" (Tina) of Ashley, Leroy of Delaware, and Jeremy (Jessica) Fetty of Delaware, a daughter Vivian (Charles) Firstenberger of Delaware, 8 grandchildren, and a sister Sandy Helton of Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Larry, and a sister Elsie Harter.
Friends will be received on Tuesday June 21, from 4 – 8 pm at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St. where services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm.
Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Delaware County Veterans Association.
Dale would prefer contributions be made to the ANDY Fund, dedicated to Glioblastoma Multiforme Brain Tumor Research.
