Mrs. Wilber Arnel (Annie), daughter-in-law of J. L. Arnel of Eldon was fatally injured when struck by an automobile at 7:30 o'clock Thursday night in Jefferson City. She died at St. Mary's Hospital two hours later.
The accident occurred when Mrs. Arnel was crossing Jefferson Street near the Atchison intersection. Her home was at 1008 Broadway. She was hit by a car driven by Roy Legg and never regained consciousness. J. L Arnell and Minnie Arnel received word of the death Friday morning and went immediately to Jefferson City.
The deceased was born at Bagnell on October 21, 1887. On August 10, 1908, she was married to Wilber Arnel and is survived by her husband and eight children. She resided in Jefferson City 27 years.
