The family surname has been recorded as having originally been Dromenske or Dromenski. The headstone at the family plot at Highland View Cemetery in Michigan has it as Dromenske. Family tradition passed down to this writer [Dan Stone] has it as Dromenski. Various historical records throughout the years have misspelled the name in a variety of different ways (Highland View cemetery has the burial records there under the last name of Drominski). For an unknown reason, Frank stopped using the last letter and from then on everyone has used the surname of Dromensk. Frank had the surname of Dromensk put on his father Fred's headstone.
