Deborah A. Stone, 68, of Oklahoma City, died Friday evening after a brief illness. She leaves her husband, Warren Stone; daughter, Melissa Stone of Oklahoma City; son, David Stone of Wilmington, Delaware; sisters, Lael Von Holt of Columbia, MO, Judith Stoddard of Rutland, Mass. A sister, Glenna Ashley who died in 1990 and a brother, Merritt Powers Jr of Rehobeth, Mass. She was born in Boston, Mass., daughter of Merritt A. and Rea H. Powers, and lived in Massachusetts for 39 years, before moving to Oklahoma City.
Debbie worked as a private secretary and loving homemaker. She was a member of Mayflower Congregational Church, an active member of Plymouth Guild, Pastor's Aid Group and volunteer in many projects. She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed reading and gardening. A memorial service will be held at Mayflower Congregational Church, Monday, June 25, 2001 at 10 am. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3000 United Founders Tower, Suite 110, OKC 73008.
