Lauren lost her battle with cancer.

Lauren was a very active young lady, having been involved in volleyball, bowling, Kimmell softball, Ligonier Rec Center basketball and Lakeland Youth Center basketball.
On Wednesday nights, she was active in church youth group. She was a member of PRIDE and honorary basketball coach for the West Noble High School girl's basketball teams. She had been awarded the Courage Award in 2003 from the West Noble Middle School. Her Brother, Andrew, observed that Lauren's initials - LKS - stand for Loving, Karing, Sharing. Her faith sustained her and her family through the heartbreaking ordeal. It was encouraging and inspiring to all who knew her that the Lord walked with Lauren, and in true fathfulness, Lauren walked with the Lord.

Lauren was a member of Cromwell United Methodist Church, Cromwell, In.

In lier of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Noble County Community Foundation for a scholarship fund to be established in Lauren's memory.
