Leroy T. Bagwell, born Abt. 1835 in Perry County, Alabama; died May 04, 1907 in Sevier County, Arkansas.

He was the son of Furney Orin Bagwell and Parthenia Bayles.

He married Tabitha Mitchell January 07, 1864 in Union Parish, Louisiana.

On March 11, 1901 the General Assemby of the State of Arkansas approved a Confederate Soldier Pension plan. On August 21,1901 application number 3363 for L.T. Bagwell, Malvern Post Office, Hot Spring County, was approved for $25.00. In his application, L. T. Bagwell states that he served in the 20th Alabama Infantry, and in the spring of 1863 was exchanged (transferred) into the 31st Louisiana Infantry, Company G commanded by Col. Thomas. He states that he was honorably discharged on or about May 1, 1865 . Included in the file from the Arkansas History Commission is a letter from the County Clerk of Clark County, Arkansas dated November 7, 1907 in which the county clerk certifies that L.T. Bagwell was dead and that his legal heir was M. H. Bagwell.
