Madison Lee Barrett, 72, of Aberdeen, Ohio passed away Monday January 30, 2012 at his home. He was born March 16, 1939 in Fleming County to the late Walter Lee Barrett Jr. and Eldiva Christine Jackson Barrett. Mr. Barrett was a stationary engineer for the Boiler Makers Union. He was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War serving in the Merchant Marines and had also served in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include:

Sister: Elizabeth Ann Barrett Lunsford of Newport, KY

Aunt: Helen Johnson of Hillsboro, KY

Cousins: Larry Johnson of Flemingsburg, KY & John Barrett of Maysville, KY

And a host of nieces, nephews & cousins

Graveside services will be at 1PM Friday February 3, 2012 at Hillsboro Cemetery. Military rites will be preformed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834. Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson, John Barrett, Roland Rawlings, Jimmy Rawlings, JT Rawlings, and Dave Hughes. Boone - Nickell Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Barrett.
