Elizabeth Rowe, 85, died Friday, April 14, 1978, at Lane County Hospital, Dighton. Born Elizabeth Yost, March 19, 1893, at Great Bend, she was the daughter of Cyrenus and Virginia (Haught) Yost. She was married to Clarence A. Rowe on September 13, 1913 at Great Bend. He died February 1977. She lived in Lane County since 1920.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, both of Dighton.
Survivors include son, St. Clair, Dighton; daughters Mrs. Betty Anderson, Mrs. Jean Hemel, and Mrs. Evelyn Garrett, all of Dighton; sister Mrs. Sudie Law of Great Bend; 21 grand children and 28 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Owen; and 2 brothers George and Claude.
