Lawrence K. Vick, 88 passed away, Tuesday, April 9, 1996 at his home. He was born at Mcclure, Il.on July 21, 1907 to J. Henry and Susie Caldwell Vick. He first married Lela McKee on April 6,1928. They divorced. He married Faye Stilfield on May 14, 1932. She preceded him in death on December 3, 1966. Later he married Ann Mathieu Thomas on March 3l, 1967, who survives. Mr. Vick was a New York Life Insurance salesman in Chicago for a number of years before retiring. He was a dog lover and trained dogs. He joined the Alexander County Sheriff's Dept. after retiring with "Nero", a 115 lb. German Sheppard K-9. He was survived by his wife Ann, by a brother J. Henry Vick, Jr. of Denver, Colorado: nieces and nephews Kay Hinegardner, Jim and Ed Robison, Steven Glenn, Ron and Bruce Vick, and Sue LaBruyere, He was preceded in death by a brother Russell C. Vick and a sister Edith Robison. Funeral services were held at 1:30 P.M. at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Il. with Father James Buerster officiating. Burial was in Saint John's Lutheran Cemetery, Dongola, Il. Crain funeral Home Il. was in charge of arrangements.
