Daughter of John McFarland and Darcus Ballou. She and Marshal married Oct 16, 1866 in Russell County. Her father was born about 1814 and died Jul 26, 1853 in Russell County. Her mother died after him. Burial place unknown. Her brother Dewitt McFarland died in 1917 and buried in Long Cemetery. My guess is the and the rest of the siblings who seemed to have died young are buried in Beech Grove in unmarked graves. They were probably reinterred there when the lake came in.
