He was born on Sept. 22, 1938 in Rantoul to Thomas J. and Evelyn Campbell Pilkington. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Katherine and two grandchildren, Tera Sallie and Devin Pilkington.
He married Andrea (Cole) Loveless on Aug. 22, 1997 in Rantoul. She survives. Also surviving are six daughters, Michelle (Stan) Pilkington, Katherine Pilkington, Elizabeth Pilkington, Tena Pilkington, Tasha Pilkington and Amber Pilkington; three sons, Stanley Pilkington, Shane Pilkington and Travis Pilkington; four stepchildren, Todd Hanks, Bruce Hanks, Jason Pilkington and Amanda Carman; three brothers, Thomas Pilkington, Jerry Pilkington and Edward (Sharon) Pilkington and 19 grandchildren.
Bill worked for C and S Sanitary in Rantoul for many years, and he was well-known for small motor repair.
