The Warren County native was the daughter of the late Excel and Louise Hackney Sledge
Of Bowling Green. She graduated from Randolph-Macon Women's College and the University
Of Kentucky. She enjoyed a long career in education with Kentucky public schools, first as a
High school mathematics teacher and then as consultant and director for education
Technology in the Kentucky Department of Education.
She will be sadly missed by her many cousins, friends and extended family.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home with a private
Burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
