Tony S. "TJ" Hartlaub, Jr., 28, died Monday, January 30, 2012, at York Hospital.

He was born July 30, 1983, in York, the son of Tony S. Hartlaub, Sr. of York and Tara E. Helf of York.

He was a graduate of Dover High School. TJ most recently worked for Hanna Cleaners. He had a passion for cars and for car detailing, and was the former owner of Precision Detailing. In addition to his parents, TJ is survived by his companion, Abbi Hake of York; two brothers, Bobby Helf and Logan Hartlaub, both of York; maternal grandparents, George and Judi Neuman of York; paternal grandparents, Earl and Barb Hartlaub of Potter County, and Joan and John Moul of Dover; and uncles and aunts, Alice Conner, Tracy and Susan Conner, Tina and David Forry, Robert and Melissa Neuman, Carla Bury, and Chris Hartlaub. He will be missed by many loving cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Conner, and his uncle, Troy E. Conner.

A viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York, At 8:45 p.m. there will be a prayer followed with a time of remembrance. A second viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at West Poplar Street Church of God, 919 W. Poplar St., York, with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. The Rev. Lloyd Noaker will officiate.

Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
