John Raymond Sollenberger, 61, of 919 Mulberry Ave., died Sunday at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born in St. Thomas, Pa., he was a son of Samuel Rohrer and Florence Mae Kimple Sollenberger. He was a member of Otterbein United Brethren Church of Greencastle, Pa., and had been employed at Conrail in Hagerstown for the past 41 years, retiring 18 months ago.

He was a member of Isaak Walton League in Berkeley County, W.Va.; and was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lou Keller Sollenberger; daughters, Mrs. Lois Jean Marrow of Chambersburg, Miss Lisha Lynn Sollenberger of Hagerstown and Miss Carrie V. Sollenberger, at home; sons, Alvey Raymond Sollenberger of Hagerstown, Daryl Lee Sollenberger Lucas of Clear Spring, and John R. Sollenberger II, at home; a brother Glenn H. Sollenberger of Fayetteville, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Minnich-Miller Funeral Home in Greencastle. The Rev. Charles E. Sunday will officiate; burial in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the residence, 919 Mulberry Ave., this evening.

There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday one-hour prior to the time of the service.

The family requests the omission of flowers, and memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assn.
