Last Rites for Miss Lillie Smith, Killed in Auto Accident Christmas Day
Miss Lillie Smith, oldest daughter of W. H. and Eliza Smith, was born in Elba Twp., December 3, 1872 and died December 25, 1934 at the age of 62 years and 22 days. She was preceded in death by her mother, a sister, Hazel M. Bates, and her father. She is survived by three sisters and one brother.
Miss Smith spent her early life on a farm in Elba Twp., moving to Williamsfield about 1911, were she resided until about 1927 when she moved to Galesburg, to live with her father. Since his death in 1933, she has lived with other members of the family, going wherever she could be of most help.
Funeral services were held at the Williamsfield M.E. church, with interment at the Williamsfield Cemetery.
