Emma Reid, widow of the late Col. John b. Reid, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Blanchard (Lillian Nona Reid Blanchard) at Lincoln, Nebraska, Sept. 22, 1913.
Mrs. Ried's maiden name was Emma Holden and she was born in Woburn, Massachusetts, June 1, 1831 and was aged 82 years her last birthday. She was the daughter of William & Catherine G. Childs Holden.
She is survived by the following children G. W. Ried of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Sol c. Dickey of Winona, Indiana, Ward Reid of this city, Mrs. Kate B. Rogier of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mrs. Frank N. blanchard and Mrs. J.G. Ray of Lincoln, Nebraska. The body was broght to Greenville for burial at Montrose Cemetery.
