Added 7/8/12: William Williams (1719 -1773) m. Margaret Evans (1720-1795). They had 11 children, two of which were daughters named Rachel (1753 – 1840) and Margaret (1755 – 1813). William Williams died 1773. His widow Margaret nee-Evans Williams (1720-1795) married Anthony Chamness, Sr. (1713 – 1777). Anthony's son Joshua (1761 – 1843) married Rachel Williams (1753 – 1840) and his son Anthony, Jr. (1751 – 1817) married Margaret Evans Williams (1755 – 1813). Both Joshua and wife and Anthony and wife were dismissed from the Cane Creek Meeting. However, Joshua and Rachel "repent" and were accepted back into the church. They are buried to the left of Anthony, Sr. and Sarah's graves. Anthony, Jr. and Margaret leave and end up in East Nottingham, Chester Co., PA. (later to be Calvert, Cecil Co., Maryland due to the conflict with the Mason-Dixon line). The 1790 census indicated 5 persons in the household. Anthony, Jr. and Margaret had at least one son who was Joab, who had a son Joab, Jr.

Gravesite Details

East Nottingham Cemetery is also known as The Brick Meeting House Cemetery started out in PA, but after years of bitter rivalry over the border, it ended up in Calvert, Cecil Co., MD.
