Ralph Brevik

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 11 at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene for Ralph Brevik of Eugene, who died Jan. 29 of age-related causes. He was 90.

He was born June 24, 1921, in Camros, Canada, to John and Belle Dahl Brevik. He married Betty Yorkston on Sept. 7, 1945, in Bellingham, Wash.

He graduated from high school in Ferndale, Wash., and attended the Navy School of Music in Washington, D.C., in 1941. He was assigned to the USS Enterprise in November 1941 and spent three years participating in 26 battles in the South Pacific. He was a musical instrument technician and a musician.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Darlene Hill of Grants Pass and Dianne Hopkins of Eugene; a sister, Mildred Hoch of Texas; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Private burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances may be sent to the American Heart Association.
