O. Kenneth Deike, age 86, of Waseca, died on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Lake Shore Inn of Waseca.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Martin Schaefer, Celebrant. Interment will be in Waseca's Calvary Cemetery.

Orvin Kenneth was born on April 12, 1925, in Faribault, MN, to William and Selma (Cook) Deike. He graduated from Faribault High School in 1943. He served in the United States Naval Intelligence during WWII, from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1948. He returned home and began his career with Jostens in Owatonna. "Orv" was united in marriage on November 11, 1950, to Muriel Felicity Grundman at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. They resided in Owatonna until 1961, when they moved to Waseca. Orv owned and operated Deike's Off Sale in Waseca from 1961 until his retirement in 1982. He was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and former member of the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus #2768. Orv was an avid golfer and long time member of Waseca Lakeside Golf & Country Club. He enjoyed watching golf, following the Minnesota Twins, playing bingo, and eating ice cream! Orv and Muriel enjoyed their many travels throughout the world and loved to dance together.

He is survived by his son Keith (Pam) Deike of Waseca, and his grandsons Jake and Maxwell Deike, and great grandson Gracelynn; by his sister, Fern Mater of Sandusky, MI, and by many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by his beloved wife Muriel Felicity on May 26, 2010, and son Kerry James Deike in 1974
