Madrid, Feb, 9.—'Oliver Harlow
Luther, 65, died Sunday morning at
his home on the Bradley farm on
the old Canton state road. He has
been in failing health for a number
of years. He was born August 11,
1872, in Gouverneur, a son of John
and Ruth Stewart Luther. He was
married October 13, 1897, to Miss
Cora Denesha of Gouverneur. He
was a lumberman for a number of
years, then took up farming and
lived in Gouverneur, Harrisville, Antwerp.
He came to Madrid three
years ago from Rossie with his family.
Mr. Luther is survived by his
widow and nine children, Henry,
James, Alice and Anna Luther at
home; Cora Luther and Mrs. Rose
Hill of Harrisville; Mrs. Grace Fournier,
Harrisville; William and Harlow
Luther of Gouvernuer; 3 brothers,
William and Thomas Luther
of Harrisville; Frank Luther of Watertown;
two sisters, Mrs, Roxy Atkinson,
Harrisville; Mrs. Fanny Lane
of Watertown. The funeral will be
held Wednesday at 2. p. m. at the
Methodist church in Harrisville with
burial in Harrisville cemetery.
