Glen R. Dewar passes away peacefully at home on November 1, 2010. Dorothy L. Dewar passed away on January 24, 2012.

Glen was born in Port Hueneme on March 28, 1921 and lived in Port Hueneme and Oxnard his whole life. Graduating from Oxnard High School and Ventura College. He was liked by all who met him with his quick wit and easy going attitude. Always willing to lend a helping hand and never wanting for anything. He served in WWII in the Navy aboard the USS Woodworth in the Pacific Theater as a signalman. After returning from the war he went to work as a Fire Captain at the CBC Base and served there for the next 35 years.

Dorothy was born in Antioch on February 5, 1927. She moved to Meiners Oaks with her family in 1942. They lived in a house she helped build with her father Josiah Wilson Baine until he got a job at the Naval Base in Port Hueneme and they moved to Oxnard. Glen and Dorothy met in June of 1947 and were married 5 months later on November 1, 1947. They were married 63 years. They loved to travel in their RV up to Bass Lake and parts beyond with their three little dogs. They were also active in tennis and golf. Being members of Oxnard Tennis Club for many years.

They are survived by son Glen R. Dewar, Jr of Camarillo, daughter Marlene L. Fode (Paul) and grand children Kaelyn Marie Fode and Brett Thomas Fode of Ventura. And Dorothy's brother John Thomas Baine and family of Santa Ana.
They will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew them.
