Frank Brown Gutierrez "Stinko," 51, of Oxnard, went home with our Heavenly Father on Jan. 25, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by all of his loving family and friends at home.

He was born on April 30, 1960, and was a lifelong resident of Oxnard. He met the Love of his Life, his High School Sweetheart Yvonne "Bonnie" Ruvalcaba, in 1976 while attending a dance at "The Rec." He graduated from Rio Mesa High School in 1978, that same year he joined the Air Force and served at George Air Force Base.

Frank loved sports, at the age of seven he started playing with Northside Little League, where he was coached by his father, Frank, until the age of 18. Frank continued playing sports through high school while coaching his younger brothers. He devoted his spare time to coaching his children, nieces, nephews, and the youth in the community.

Frank opened his own company, Monarch Uniform, to support his love for sports. He loved designing logos and was proud to see the teams wearing his uniforms. Therefore, his family will continue with the business in his loving memory.

Those who knew Frank know that family was the most important part of his life. His love of life was an enchantment that turned insignificant things into joys. He was an inspiration to all; his charismatic personality brought many people together. He was a man who lived by his values, always courageous, loyal to his beliefs his faith and love. He never hesitated to lend an ear or open his door to anyone. Frank lived a great life. He was a great husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He will be truly missed and will live in our hearts forever.

He is preceded in death by his loving brother, Richard "Rich" Brown Gutierrez. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Gutierrez; children, Deidre (Carlos) Sepulveda, Sarah Gutierrez, Isaac (Patty) Gutierrez and Richard Mateo Gutierrez; parents, Frank and Yolanda Gutierrez; brothers, Kenny (Mechelle) Gutierrez and Tim (Toni) Gutierrez; sister, Tina (Joe) Ramirez; and many nieces and nephews.

We have learned from you that happiness is not dependent on something we want and can't control, but rather enjoying the moment no matter what happens. Frank may you go out in joy and be led forth in Peace, Love and Happiness.

Services for the Celebration of Frank B. Gutierrez's amazing life will take place as follows: The memorial service and rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, at Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Road Camarillo, and the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, at Santa Clara Church, 323 South E Street Oxnard.
