Jimmy Keith Hawkins passed away at his home on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at the Kingfisher Memorial Cemetery.

Jimmy was born June 10, 1945, in Kingfisher, Okla., to Lloyd Lester Hawkins and Mary Francis Tice Hawkins.

He graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1964.After graduation, he enlisted in the Army Reserves, serving 1 1/2 years, followed by the National Guard for four years.

Jimmy owned a cattle commission company and farmed in the Kingfisher area for about 30 years, after which he moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to his kids and grandchildren.

Jimmy is survived by one sister, Carole Yost of Moore; three children, Kevin Hawkins and wife Kim of Piedmont, Kim Pyle and husband Mark of Piedmont, and Julie Cates and husband Aaron of Edmond. In addition, he is survived by eight grandchildren, Colton and Connor Hawkins, Hunter and Kourtney Pyle, and Parker, Macy, Alexis and Audrey Cates.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, three brothers and one sister.Jimmy, otherwise known as PaPa, loved his grandchildren more than words can say.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1301 NE 14th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73117. "In memory of Jimmy Hawkins."
