Oma Roberts Hooper, 96, Oklahoma City school teacher, died Sunday. Graveside services 10 am today, Rose Hill Cemetery.

The Oklahoman, Tuesday, Oct 13, 1987:
Mrs Oma Robert Hooper, of OKC, died Oct 11, 1987. She spent 40 years of her life teaching in the public schools, 33 years in the Heronville city school.

All her retirement years were devoted to learning. She traveled, a regular participant in the Community Work Shop, a UNA coordinator for Peace Research in the high schools of Oklahoma. She was a patriot in her own country and a citizen of the world, with sincere interest in the family of mankind. Her faith: The Golden Rule; also the faith that "truth speaks to each person in his own tongue."

Survivors include her sister, Mrs Vivian McDonald; nieces, Wilma Roberts, Evelyn Paul, Kathryn Deal, and Frances McDonald; nephews, Donald McDonald, Cot Deal, Plato Andros, Dee Andros, and Gus Andros; many other nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

Graveside services 10 am Tuesday, at Rose Hill Cemetery. No flowers, in lieu give to Peace Movement. Arrangements by Smith & Kernke.
