Edna M., daughter of Benjamie and Bertha Claypool, was born June 27, 1886, in Orleans, Nebraska, and departed this life June 10, 1957, at St. Anthony hospital, Denver, Colo., after a lingering illness. She was 70 years, 11 months, 13 days of age.
She spent her early life in Orleans, where she was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
She was united in marriage to Lauren O. Milliken March 3, 1910. To this union five children were born.
The family moved to Denver, Colo., in 1940. Mrs. Milliken became a member of the Valverde Community Presbyterian church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy E. Miller of Orleans four sons, Randall, William and Kenneth of Denver, and Ellsworth of Arvada, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Bodien of Central City, Nebr., Mrs. Bess Austin of Lincoln, Nebr., and Mrs. Ruth Stein of Riverside, California; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 12 at Olinger Mortuary, Denver, Colo., with Rev. Charles Burgess officiating.
Concluding funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church, Orleans, Thursdday, June 13, 1957, with C. E. Sheffield of Alma officiating.
Music was by Miss Mary Ralston and Mrs. K. C. McGrew.
Pallbearers were Lloyd Miller, Jim Dunlay, Bill Lennemann, Chas. Miller, Bob Jessup and Bernard Griffiths.
Interment was in the Orleans cemetery, Orleans, Nebraska. Mitchell Funeral service was in charge of arrangements.
Out-of-town relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bodien of Central City, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil David and Carolyn of Atlanta, Nebr.; Mr. George Austin of Lincoln; and Mr. and Mrs. K. G. Haeker of Alma.
