The birth took place on the donation land claim at Highland, Claskamas, Oregon where they had built a log cabin in which Margaret first lived. Her parents arrived in Oregon in 1853. The cabin was still standing in 1942 when she died.
After several husbands that died before her Margaret married Charles E. Martin in 1892. At her death Charles survived her.
