Luther Abbott

Luther Abbott, 51, of 2104 Jefferson died unexpectedly at his home Friday morning.
He was born September 12, 1901, at Eskridge. He had lived in Topeka since 1914.
Abbott had been an employee of the Santa Fe shops 31 years. He was a member of the George Washington Carver YMCA and the Iron Horseman club.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Abbott of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Wilson of 132 Klein; three grandchildren, John Raymond Bivens, Misses Sheila Wilson and Sharron Wilson, all of 132 Klein; four brothers, Sylvester Abbott of Eskridge, Roy Abbott of Topeka, Vernon Abbott of 2100 Madison and Ivan Abbott of 1163 Lincoln, and six nieces and eight nephews.

Gaines and Son funeral home will announce funeral arrangements later.
