Commemorative Biographical Record of Tolland and Windham Counties, Connecticut by J. H. Beers, 1903, Page 626: Edward Hill, a child of Daniel Hill and Elizabeth Eddy, born Swansea, Massachusetts. In 1759, moved with his parents and siblings to Plainfield, Windham County, Connecticut; married Abigail Hall in 1781; eight children: Hannah; Jeremiah; Olive; Betsey; Daniel; Mary; Edward; Wealthy. Edward was an exceedingly prominent man of his vicinity, was a stockholder of the Union Company of Plainfield, inherited a large tract of land, and was an extensive agriculturist. Edward Hill died, December 23, 1857 [sic] and is buried in the Union Cemetery with his wife.
