MRS. LEONA V. BRANDENBURG DIES, AGED 60
Ill For Past Year; Funeral Services Friday Afternoon
Leona V. Brandenburg, 60, of 606 N. Elson, died at her home Tuesday night after a year's illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Dee Riley Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Robert Bahr, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church of Kirksville. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.
Mrs. Brandenburg was the daughter of John and Ella (Graham) Vance and was born Oct. 8, 1900 at Mack Creek, Mo. She was married to WIlliam Brandenburg in Chicago, Ill.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Lorene) Aldrich, Fairburg, Neb., and Mrs. Glen (Erma Lee) Scurlock, Kirksville; one son, Wilbert Brandenburg, Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Lela) Phillips, and Mrs. Ross (Pauline) McKim, both of Kirksville; three brothers, Clyde Vance, Liberty, Mo., Cloy Vance, Kirksville, and Emmitt Vance of Edina; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brandenburg was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Kirksville. She had made her home in Kirksville for the past 36 years where she had been a dental assistant and a practical nurse.
Bearers will be: John Degard, Darrell Lloyd, Junior Murdock, Glen Scurlock, Chester Bell and Verland Lloyd.
