Loretta J. Brackbill Mowery, 79, of 100 Bent Pine Court South, Lancaster, died Wednesday at the Susquehanna Valley Nursing Rehab Center in Columbia.
She was the wife of Ernest R. Mowery. Her first husband, Clayton Brackbill died in 1955. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Margaret McCall Flora.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She was a member of the American Legion Post #34 in Lancaster. She enjoyed bingo, public sales and collecting antiques.
Surviving besides her husband is a son, Jeff, husband of Kathy Mowery of Hanover; a daughter, Diana Brackbill, at home and one grandson, Patrick Mowery of Cambridge, MD. Also surviving is a brother, Robert, husband of Lena Flora of Lancaster and two sisters, Naomi E., wife of John Lentz of Washington Boro and Coralene E. Smoker of Lancaster.
A Christian Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Interment in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.
