Harry D. Sebring, 85, KnoxDale Road, KnoxDale, died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Knox Township, a son of the late C. Earl Sebring and Venice Shoffner Sebring.

He was married to Patty J. Dinger on Sept. 17, 1946. She preceded him in death Sept. 3, 2010.

He was a veteran of the U.S .Marine Corps, serving in World War II in the Pacific Theater.
He worked as a sawyer and carpenter and later retired from the PA State Fish and Game Commission. He was a member of the Center Hill Community Church in KnoxDale and a charter member of the Knox Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. where he served as an officer in various positions. He enjoyed building toys and furniture for his grandchildren, and enjoyed country and gospel music.

Survivors include three daughters: June Marlene Miller of Brookville, Deanna L. (Kenneth) Flick of Clearfield, Vickie J. Talbot of Brookville; a son, William S. (Jacqueline) Sebring of Brookville; three brothers: Charles Keith Sebring of Montana, Edwin Duane Sebring of KnoxDale, James Lane Sebring of Monroeville; two sisters, Janet C. Evans of Brookville, Joan M. Allshouse of Conneaut Lake; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Sue Sebring; and a brother, Richard Gale Sebring.


SEBRING: Harry D., KnoxDale Road, KnoxDale, died Aug. 8, 2011. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Guy Felmlee officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, KnoxDale. Memorial donations may be made to Center Hill Community Church, 6201 KnoxDale Road, KnoxDale, PA 15847 or Knox Twp. Vol. Fire Dept., 5005 Ramseytown Road, PO Box 147, KnoxDale, PA 15847.
