Hazel Anthem James Simpson Baker, 91, a resident of Salem Place Nursing Center, died February 4, 2012. She was born January 12, 1921, to the late John Wesley and Litha Davis James. Also preceding her in death were two husbands, Travis D. Simpson and Clifton Baker; a son Clifton Baker, Jr.; two brothers, Carroll James and Ruel James; two sisters, Maudie Breedlove and Erma Rains.
Survivors include her children: Jim Simpson of Texas, Rose Simpson Brown (Lavon) of Missouri, Elaine Simpson, Mary Clark Simpson, both of Little Rock, Carolyn Thompson ( Bill) of New Mexico, Mary Thomason ( Bill ) of Colorado, Dennis Baker of Greenbrier, Odie White of Greenbrier, Betty Schichtl (Ken) of Conway; two brothers Jim James and Carl James; three sisters, Birdie Davey, Minnie McGlaughlin and Lou Skomp; 21 precious grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Greenbrier Church of Christ with Glen Elliott officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Holland. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, February 6 th, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
