HAMPTON - Jean McCaig Rosser Trimble was born on Jan. 24, 1921, in Hampton, Va., and entered her eternal reward and the presence of her Heavenly Farther on Jan. 27, 2012. Jean married Lyle H. Rosser Sr., in 1941.
After Lyle Sr. passed away in 1985, Jean served the Lord by traveling to Japan on a mission trip to teach English as a way to introduce the Japanese to the Bible. In 1989, she married Earle Stanley Trimble Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John McDonald McCaig and Mary Ann Tennis; sister, Mary McCaig; first husband; and sons, Lyle H. Rosser Jr. and John Irvin Rosser.
She is survived by her husband; stepsons, Earle Stanley Trimble III (Sandy), Richard Wade Trimble (Linda), James Dennis Trimble (Dolores); daughter-in-law, Rebecca Rosser; 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family received visitors at noon on Feb. 2, 2012, at Memorial Baptist Church. A funeral service followed at 1 p.m.
