Cynthia Ann Davis Lamb may be the daughter of Mary Ellen Hoggatt who was married to Samuel Davis

Important new information - in 1862 Cynthia Davis Lamb filed a divorce request against Zimeriah Lamb stating that he was having a relationship with her half-sister Sarah Davis, and there are apparently children from this relationship. This may explain why some children are not listed with the family on previous census records. There are hundreds of Sarah Davis's in the region, and I have not been able to determine exactly who she is. Some of the children listed with Zemri stated that their mother's name was Sarah. There is also some information that Zemri may have been in one or more bigamous relationships.

Married - June 21, 1846 Wayne County, Indiana - source Indiana marriage database through 1850 - maiden name of Cynthia was listed as Davis. Mother may have spelled name differently, may have had multiple marriages, or name may be spelled incorrectly on tombstone or in marriage record. Parke County, Indiana has a large number of both Davis and Davies families.
