Marshall & Gladys would become the parents of twelve children - Marshall Lee Jr., Mildred Evelyn, Edward Leon, Charles Andrew, Dickey, Walter Thomas, Doris Mae, Billy, Vernon, Jimmy, Diane, & Jackie Cecil.
Marshall & Gladys were well known members of the Big Cove Community and ran a small general store in the front of their home on Old Big Cove Road, facing Pine Hill.
Gladys was a member of the Big Cove Free Holiness Church.
