ELLA J. BATTLE
Ella. J. Battle, age 84, of Clare, .passed away on November 13, 1990, in the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center-Clare.
She was born on July 23, 1906, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Orville J. and Alice (Gage) Alger. She married William J. Battle on October 7,1928, at Coleman; he preceded her in death on September 19,1971. Mrs. Battle lived in the Clare area almost all her life.
Surviving are two sons, Lloyd and Marvilene Battle of Lake and Frank and Kappy Battle of Harrison; two daughters, Thelma and Larry Randle and Naomi and Bob Larman, all of Clare; 17 grandchildren, 37 greatgrandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three great- grandchildren and a brother, Clifford Alger.
Funeral services were held on November 17, 1990, in the Stephensan-Wyman Funeral Home with Pastor Don Roberts Officiating. Burial was in Cherry (prove Cemetery in Clare. .Memorials are suggested to the Michigan Heart Association. (The Clare Sentinel, p. 10 - Clare, MI - 20 November 1990)
