Ruby L. Barger
Mrs. Ruby L. Barger, 82, of the Delwood community, died at 12:05 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
She married Glen Barger on Jan. 18, 1936. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1994.
She was born on Nov. 4, 1916, in Saline County to the late Frank and Clara (Jenkins) Bailey.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Bill Oakley of Paducah, Ky., Donna and Jack Irwin and Sandra and David Allen, all of Harrisburg; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Raymond and Diana Barger of Jacksonville, Jack and Vickie Barger of Tunnel Hill, and Jim Barger of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Earl Bailey of Harrisburg and Glendal Bailey of Evansville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, a great-grandchild; four brothers, Cecil, Ernest, Alfie, and Fritts Bailey, and two sisters, Mable McGill and Mildred Needer.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. The Rev. John Bailey will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Delwood.
